Sunday Morning Kids Ministry
Please register your child’s attendance in the Kids Wing prior to children attending any Sunday morning kids’ activities. This ensures we have an accurate emergency contact number for everyone’s safety.
Nursery •
All Morning
Church nursery care is available for infants through 3 years.
Kids’ Hang Time • 8:45AM
Children ages 4 years–5th grade will be dismissed following the Children’s Message. Parents can pick up children in the Lookout (E202) in the Education Wing after the 8:45AM Traditional Service.
Kids’ Sunday School • 10:00AM
- 4 years–Kindergarten: Meet in E205
- 1st–2nd Grade: Meet in E201
- 3rd–5th Grade: Meet in E203
Everyone begins in The Lookout (E202). Parents can pick up their children in the respective rooms at 11:00AM.
Kids’ Church • 11:15AM
Children ages 4 years–5th grade will begin worship with their family in service, and then be dismissed from New Song following the Children’s Message. Parents can pick up children from kids church after the 11:15AM service in The Lookout (E202).
Wednesday Night Kids Ministry
ELEVATE: 4TH & 5TH GRADE GATHERING
Wednesdays • 5:00–8:00PM • Asbury Hall
Elevate is a mid-week ministry where 4th and 5th graders come together drawing families from across northwest Houston to have fun, build friendships, and grow in their faith. Each Wednesday night is packed with energy and purpose. We play awesome games, share a meal, and dig into God’s Word to discover more about His amazing love for us. Through interactive lessons, worship, and small group time, kids deepen their relationship with Jesus and learn how to live out their faith in everyday life.
Elevate isn’t just something to attend—it’s a place to belong, grow, and be encouraged! Come hang out with us, bring a friend, and get ready to Elevate your week!

Part-Time Nursery Worker
This part-time, paid position will consist of helping look after our infants—early elementary-aged children while parents are at church on Sunday mornings or weekly studies. Is Lakewood Methodist a kids church near Cypress and Tomball?
Yes. We are located at 11330 Louetta Road in Houston, just minutes from Cypress and Tomball. Families from across northwest Houston are welcome at all of our kids programs.
What age groups does the kids ministry serve?
We serve kids from infancy through 5th grade on Sunday mornings, with nursery care available all morning, Kids Church at 11:15AM, and Sunday School at 10:00AM for ages 4 through 5th grade.
Do you have a midweek kids program?
Yes. Elevate is our Wednesday night gathering for 4th and 5th graders, meeting every Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM in Asbury Hall. Kids enjoy games, a meal, worship, and small group time.
Does Lakewood Methodist offer Vacation Bible School?
Yes. Our VBS program, Rainforest Falls, runs July 27 through July 30 and is open to kids entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. Families from Cypress, Tomball, and the greater Northwest Houston area are welcome.
